Changes to West Midlands Police –WMP

The latest briefing on WMP is attached which announces the changes in Local Policing Unit boundaries as well as changes to the response and investigations teams. Whilst the local Policing units are going to merge to form 2 units: West and South and East and North our understanding is that the 4 Local Community Safety Partnerships will remain. We are concerned that the mergers of LPU areas will mean that there will be less senior officers at a local level to support the Partnerships.

We also know that the 4 Police Partnerships Teams in Birmingham  have been merged into one centrally based team.   Read More

LEARNING FROM DOMESTIC HOMICIDE REVIEWS – TRAINING DATES FOR MARCH 2016

The Domestic Homicide Review Team will be holding 4 additional Learning From Domestic Homicide Reviews Training Sessions in March 2016. This is a repeat of the training held for BSHP members a couple of weeks ago.

The training will be held on the following dates:

  1. Friday 4th March 2016 at 9:00am to 1:00pm.
  2. Thursday, 10th March 2016 at 9:00am to 1:00pm.
  3. Wednesday, 16th March 2016 at 9:00am to 1:00pm.
  4. Wednesday, 23rd March 2016 at 9:00am to 1:00pm.
